First month thoughts and average gas mileage

Well its been about a month with the Prius now and we absolutely love it. I have driven it to work for about half of the time which is a 100 mile round trip. The weather in Chicago during this time has been hot and humid, I have averaged 50-53 MPG with the air running during this time frame. On a side note I do not get as worked up when driving the Prius and even my wife thinks that I now drive safer. I am more consious of keeping ample space between cars and not racing off the starts.

Our new Toyota Prius

Well we finaly purchased a new toyota Prius. We had been thinking about them for about a year and just never went to drive one. Saw them on the road and always wondered if we would like one.

While at the Toyota dealer looking at vans we happened to walk by a new Black Prius. It had just arrived that day and was right up front. It was like someone was tempting us. The wife was looking at cars for 2 weeks and found nothing that she liked. When she passed the Prius her eyes lite up and got a huge smile. I said lets take it for a drive. We both loved the way it drove.

The color was right the car was equiped just how we would have wanted. Well we left with it that day. Its been about two weeks now and we like the car even more.
